I might not have my flying car yet, but UF researchers are hoping to have a prototype flying saucer out within a year.


I also read this interesting article in The New Yorker last week about this Danish farming community which has used existing technology to cut their dependence on oil, so much so that they are a supplier of energy now.


As for my larger thoughts on technology, I'm all for it, I suppose. I mean, really, is anyone going to talk about disliking technology while using a computer? Or after being kept alive past the age 13 or so through antibiotics and surgeries and X-rays and stuff?
